Religious Exemption Information for Flu Vaccines Only

Posted 9/15/2022

I am opposed to taking the flu vaccines. As an ordained Christian minister who has taught the Bible for over forty years, both in full-time pastoral ministry and a non-profit Christian ministry on the Internet, I believe that the flu vaccines which are produced from animal cells violate God's will revealed in the Bible.

In Genesis 1, the Bible reveals to us that God made human beings after He had created all the original animals. He made human beings with their human bodies in His image and thus their bodies are sacred and separate from animals. Even though their bodies have genetic similarities, human beings are not descended from animals. They are a sacred and separate creation of God and their bodies are specially unique before God.

The divine sacred separation between the bodies of humans and the bodies of animals is the basis of God's prohibition in Genesis 9:3-6. God gives human beings the right to spill (but not eat) the lifeblood of animals for food, but then prohibits the killing of humans made in the image of God whose lifeblood is sacred to God as part of His image. Also, permission is given by God only to ingest parts of animals (minus the blood) which go through the digestive system and are broken down into nutrients for the human body.

Because of this, I believe that humans are not to receive any transplantation of animal body parts, any animal blood transfusions, or any vaccines that have been produced in animal cells and have residual cells of animals in them. This intermingling of animal cells with the human body and particularly its blood apart from digestion I believe is forbidden by God. Therefore, I reject the flu vaccines (produced in embryonated chicken eggs, canine kidney cells, insect cells, and the like) as violations of God's will.

This is my sincerely held belief which prevents me from taking the flu vaccines.

Sincerely in Christ,

Rev. Ron Jones, D.D.

President, The Titus Institute

Religious Exemption Form or Personal Statement for Employer for Flu Vaccines Only

Updated 9/15/2022

How To Fill Out the Religious Exemption Form or Personal Statement for Your Employer

According to the ADA law, the religious beliefs you describe must be sincerely held religious beliefs. This means that you must understand them, believe them, and be able to articulate them verbally or in writing.

What to Put on Your Employer Form if the Form Has Questions/Requests

The form usually has instructions like 1., 2. and 3.below. Put in the answers below that most nearly fit the numbered requests. USE YOUR OWN WORDS

Employer Request 1:

Please explain the religious belief, observance, or practice that prevents you from getting the flu vaccines.

Answer:

In Genesis 1, the Bible reveals that God made human beings in His image, completely separate from animals. Thus, there is a divine sacred separation between the bodies of humans and the bodies of animals. This is the basis of Genesis 9:3-6 where God gives human beings the right to spill the lifeblood of animals, but prohibits the killing of humans made in the image of God whose lifeblood is sacred to God as part of His image.

Employer Request 2:

Please describe the specific conflict between your religious belief, observance or practice and the flu vaccines. In your response, please address the following: What are the specific reasons the vaccine requirement conflicts with your religious beliefs, observances or practices?

Answer:

Because of the divine sacred separation of humans and animals, I believe that humans are not to receive any transplantation of animal body parts, any animal blood transfusions, or any vaccines that have been produced in animal cells and have residual cells of animals in them. This intermingling of animal cells with the human body and particularly its blood apart from digestion I believe is forbidden by God. Therefore, I reject the flu vaccines which are produced in embryonated chicken eggs, canine kidney cells, insect cells, and the like as violations of God's will.

Employer Request 3:

Please provide any information that will help us to determine that your belief is sincerely held with the strength of traditional religious views. For example, does this belief affect any other aspect of your life? Please provide any details you feel are relevant.

Answer:

For Christians, all of our religious beliefs are based on the Bible. The Bible reveals to us what God's will is and we are committed to believing it and following it on a daily basis. As in all my beliefs, I live by them and express them to others. Also, it has caused me not to receive the flu vaccines.

What to Put in Your Personal Statement Letter

You want to be brief and to the point. Anything you state, they can ask you about. Review the three answers above and turn them into personal statement, but put it in your own words.

Some personal statements I have seen are too long, too emotional, and not Biblical.

If you want to use the clergy statement or a clergy letter from me, the reasons given in your form or personal statement must match the reasons articulated in the answers in the form above.

If you have any immediate questions about filling out the form or your personal statement. Please DM me on my Instagram account (@rjtitusinstitute).
