Applying the Old Testament to Our Lives
By Ron Jones ©Titus Institute 2009
Introduction
Many Christians are confused when they read the Old Testament. What should they follow and what should they not follow? Will God bring curses upon a Christian who does not obey him? Should Christians submit to the Ten Commandments? If, so what about celebrating the Sabbath? These are questions that often rise up in the mind of Christians about the OT. In this section, we discuss what the Old Testament and New Testament say about the two great covenants, the Abrahamic and the Mosaic, the Ten Commandments, Salvation by grace through faith, and the identity of Christ.
The Old Testament is a treasure chest of truth waiting to be found. Understanding how to carefully interpret it will help you mine its riches and strengthen your understanding of God.
