The Titus Institute Doctrinal Statement

We believe that the Bible is the Word of God. It is supernaturally inspired by the Holy Spirit and inerrant in the original manuscripts. It is our absolute authority in faith and life. II Peter 1:20-21; II Timothy 3:16-17

We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Matthew 3:15-17; 28:19

We believe that Jesus Christ was supernaturally conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit. He is both true God, the second person of the Triune God, and true man, born of a virgin. Isaiah 7:14; Luke 1:35; 2:7-11, 52

We believe that man was created in the image of God with innocence, but that the whole human race fell in sin through Adam and thereby incurred death, both physical and spiritual (separation from God). All human beings are born with a sinful nature. Genesis 1:27, 3:1-7; Romans 3:22-23; Ephesians 2:12

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ lived a sinless life and died for our sins according to the Scriptures as a substitutionary sacrifice. All who trust in Jesus Christ are justified on the one ground of His shed blood on the cross. I Peter 1:18-19; I Peter 2:24; Romans 3:24-25

We believe in the resurrection of the crucified body of our Lord. His physical body was transformed into a glorified body. He also ascended into heaven and presently ministers to his body of believers as Priest, Advocate, and Head of his church. Lu.24: 36-44; Eph.1:22; Heb.7:25

We believe in the personal, visible, pre-millennial, imminent return of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He will first rapture the church, then return to set up his 1000 reign on earth. John 14:1-4; I Thessalonians 4:13-18; Revelation 20:6

We believe that all who repent of sin and accept Jesus Christ as both Lord and Savior by faith are born again of the Holy Spirit. Their salvation is entirely apart from good works or man’s effort and is from God’s grace. Ephesians 2:8-10; Jn.3:16 I Peter 1:5

We believe that a Christian is eternally secure, and he or she cannot lose his or her salvation. John 10:28; Romans 8:29

We believe in the resurrection of the righteous and the unrighteous. The righteous (those who have been saved by God’s grace) will live with God forever and the unrighteous (those who have rejected God) will receive eternal punishment in hell. John 5: 26-29; Revelation 20: 11-15

We believe that the Holy Spirit is the third person of the Triune God. His present ministry is one of indwelling, baptizing, and sealing believers at the moment of their salvation; and that the fruit of the spirit is evidence of a Spirit-filled life. Matthew 28:20; Galatians 5:22-26
